VMAT is a membrane separation technology which applies ultra high tangential frequency mechanical vibration on a membrane surface to prevent fouling. It is designed to handle different liquids from waste water to used motor oil. Even with used motor oil at 70-80cSt viscosity, VMAT only requires 90\u00b0C operating temperature instead of 300\u00b0C as required by distillation process.\u00a0<\/p>

Membranes with different pore sizes and materials can be installed on VMAT to cater for different applications and requirements. It is the ideal technology for high solid and oil content fluids on sub-micron level filtration applications, such as landfill leachate, oil-water emulsified wastewater in the metals industry, PCB dry film developing wastewater, etc. The vibrating membrane filters the feed into permeate and concentrate, sometimes the concentrate can be the recoverable material, or vice versa, sometimes the permeate can be further processed to achieve a higher recovery rate. This also facilitates the recycling of valuable resources from wastewater.<\/p>

VMAT uses a purely physical separation process, needing no additional chemicals. This minimizes secondary pollution and contributes to a continuous production.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
